After graduating from UConn with a passion for the law, Rachel spent years as a paralegal specializing in Family Law and residential real estate transactions in New York. She conducted title searches by hand at town clerk offices, resolved liens and title issues, coordinated between all parties, and prepared every closing document — including the complex HUD settlement statements.

When she and her husband Mark moved to Florida with their daughter, what started as an administrative position at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices quickly evolved into her calling as an agent. Before joining Rachel in real estate, Mark spent a career in the building trades — 20 years as a licensed plumber, 15 years in construction, and 10 years in master carpentry and furniture making. He's since moved on from that work to sell homes alongside his wife, but the trained eye came with him.

While other agents are walking through a home making surface-level observations, Mark notices things — how a home was built, where there might be a maintenance concern, and the difference between quality craftsmanship and a shortcut.
