Hailing from Long Island NY, Valerie attended Boces Tech where she earned her certificate in training and caring for thoroughbred racehorses. Working closely with these magnificent animals she developed a love and passion for the equestrian lifestyle. Valerie utilized her education by working for Loraway Farms training and conditioning horses. After moving to Florida in 1990 with her two sons, David and Stephen, she continued her education to become an Inpatient Certified Coding Specialist. For the next twenty-eight years, Valerie climbed the corporate ladder to eventually become the Quality Coding Team Lead for Hospitals Corporation of America performing coding audits and educational training within the company. In 2005 Valerie met her now husband, Art Lance, who began indoctrinating her into the world of real estate. Valerie worked closely with Art, who was named Number one real estate agent in the world in 2005, to eventually secure her own real estate license. Since earning her Florida real estate license Valerie has found another passion in her life, dedicating the bulk of her time and energy to becoming an outstanding sales associate. Jim earned his degree from Providence College, his career for the past 40 years was focused on insurance and securities. Jim had the pleasure of assisting clients to identify and successfully work towards their financial goals. One of his personal goals in life has been to serve and help others, regardless of socio-economic status. In April of 2013, Jim was semi-retired and relocated to Citrus County. He had planned to continue working in insurance and securities. However, his mindset began to gradually change, and he realized that he desired to serve and help others in a different capacity. Jim spent a great deal of time learning more about Citrus County and options for a second career. The phrase, “every cloud has a silver lining,” came to fruition for Jim in June of 2017. After having knee replacement surgery and being forced to relax and rest, he began to pursue a second career goal – real estate. He successfully completed all the required real estate courses and passed the state exam to become a licensed agent. Looking back, Jim believes that getting licensed in real estate was the easy part compared to choosing a real estate agency to work with, in Citrus County. He found that there are many admirable, successful, and well-managed real estate agencies spread throughout Citrus County.
